Re: heat problem (crxricer66)
Hello...I've been reading so many forums and it sounds like you have the same issue as my 95 civic lx sedan. The the car does not over heat but the heat out of the vents are luke warm on average. At highway speeds it's actually hot (but not as hot in the past). After driving on the freeway for 30 min or so....get off on a exit ramp and the heat out of the vents go luke warm to cold....engine temp still looks good. We just replace the thermostat(twice in 4 months because people keep saying that's the issue...and it's has been put in correctly). Radiator is only a year ago. Just had a ASE mechanic replace all the belts (timing,ac,alt, etc),fuel pump, camshaft seal, water pump, radiator flush, new coolant, coolant pressure check out ok....BUT the same problem still exist. Some body please help us out! I've read this could be the heater core but I do not smell anything out of he vents nor is the floor mats soaked with anti-freeze. Could it be a sensor of some sort??? Please chime in.
Cheers and Thanks,
Alanna

Re: heat problem (berryrice)
to answer the op's question, yes you can use the two hoses that go through the fire wall. To the last guy that posted, your heater core doesn't have to leak to be bad. good luck with the flush!
