I want to get some new bulbs in my car but i can't afford Real HID, i currently have MTEC 4250K , they are ok but i want something a lil bit more like the real HID blue. I saw these lights on ebay they are called nokia 7000k and they say they give Higher Wattage Output 70/80W but only consuming OEM Wattage 55/60W!. I was wondering what you guys think or do u have any sugestions

Re: Healight bulbs (jvcnyc)
don't do it.....don't put higher wattage bulbs in your stock housing. A) because it can melt your housing. and B) it will mess up your headlight wiring harness. I found out the hard way, my pass. bulb wouldn't always come on. I inspected the wiring and the hyperwhites fucked up my wiring. Just get some silverstars, they are the same wattage as stock I am pretty sure.

I had the same exact bulbs....the NOKYA ones the color was real nice but IT FUCKED UP MY HEADLIGHT WIRING HARNESS. If I had to do over again I would not get them. That is why I am telling you my experience, but the choice is yours if you want them then get them.

Re: Healight bulbs (R33CIVIC)
yeah I tried the really bright bulbs I think they might've been the hyperwhites also, I never had any wiring problems other than they burned out fast and I knew not to touch the glass part, ayways after going through a few sets I just went back to the regular bulbs. Now I try to use high beams more often to save the low beams from using them too much.

I do recommend the Sylvania SilverStars, they are expensive but are a quality bulb. I have them in my beater and they light up the road much better and I haven't had any wiring issues with them. I would have them in my other civic but I have an HID kit

I used to have some of the PIAA Super Plasma "HID" look bulbs. they were expensive, but they gave that real purple/yellow HID look.

Re: Healight bulbs (EG2 SiR)
No halogen bulb comes close to the look of HID, just doesn't happen.
And about that 55/65 = 70/80, pure and utter BS. Wattage is a measure of current draw, NOT light output. It is physically impossible for a colored bulb to draw 55W and put out the same amount of lumens (the actual measure of light output) as an uncoated 70W bulb.

very very true.... i've had raybrig bulbs forever....they were really bright and really nice, but had a tendancy to burn out after about 1 year which turned me off from them. I just recieved some new PIAA bulbs to try them out. If they blow in a year its to silverstars i go.

Re: Healight bulbs (jvcnyc)
I've run the Nokya brand numerous times (several pairs in my Civic and my Integra), numerous friends of mine are running them, and I used to sale them.
I never really had an issue with them, Several did burn up prematurely, but I am not aware of any harness being damaged from their use. Now I do know that the higher wattage bulbs 80/90/100 etc. will toast your harness... stay away from them. The Nokya brand have several different wattages now, so buy the ones that are most similar to the factory wattage (like 55w). They also offer different colors like white, blue, purple, etc. The arctice white and blue seem to be the best looking. I like them, and am putting a set in my current Civic soon. Good luck, and don't pay more than $30 for the pair.
