I have the exact same problem (94 coupe). It was cold (-20F) here also for a few weeks over the winter, but I've never had to wait that 5 minutes. I don't think I've even had to wait 30 seconds. Bump - I'm curious also.

I actually don't even want HIDs. I can see just fine with my SilverStars. It's all in proper alignment.

Yes, grounds are brand new. Wires are fine. It's only when it's super cold (below 15F).

^^^No, but the alternator is freshly rebuilt and the battery is brand new. I have plenty of juice.

Mine stopped once the temperature got out of the negatives. I won't see this issue again until next winter. *knockin' on wood*

I had this same problem. My headlights would not come on when I turned on the switch but if I wiggled the switch they would come on but sometimes would flicker dim while driving. After a few weeks the combo switch burnt up while I was driving home. I replaced it and all is good. this was on a 92 si. hope this helps.

Well how much does that combo switch thingy cost and what's the part number? I guess I may have to give that a try if it still acts up next winter. I don't think it will get cold enough for it to happen again.

ALl my headlights work...just that it hesitates to turn on when i need it the most...expecially in the winter time...it takes forever to turn on...dont know what the problem could be though...even if i turn on and off the high beam it still takes time for the lights to turn on...any suggestion...
