i did that to my headlights. put them in the oven for a few minutes, let the glue melt... then pull the front housing off.

to put it back on, you do the same thing, heat up alittle, then push the housing back on and hold it for a little bit' let dry.

try searching.. i'm sure there are better instructions out there.

^thats all there is too it

under 250*F
under 10mins
over either of those and you run the risk of melting the plastic

make sure you reseal well w/ silicone all the way around or you will get condensation inside and you'll have to pull em off and do it again (silicone I mean...nothing else)

oven trick? thats kinda gross putting something like a headlight into an oven that you bake your food with. Just do what I did, use a hairdryer and do a portion at a time. Heat up the creases, and slowly pull apart with a wedge of some sort (I used a screwdriver). Then use some compound to reseal, I forgot what kind of glue I used, but I remember I had to mix two different compounds together.

Where has your headlight been that it's so "gross"?

I have wanted to do this...I have heard about the hairdryer and oven tricks before.....but I am just scared I might mess up my headlight!!
headlights aren't cheap!!

seems like all my posts today have been about how much money I don't want to spend...LOL what can I say. I am poor.
My civic has put me in debt

how many ppl have done this successfully. I've counted 4-5 so far, inthis thread.
I know this has been covered many a times, in this forum. So a search might help you.
Or check that thread about the FAQs.
