Check your alternator and grounds.

usually when you let off the gas, the lights get dim, and when you step on the gas the lights get brighter.

other than voltage output from alternator, check the belt tension too. also make sure the bulbs are the correct wattage.

My 00 dx did this when I put my gsr in, my 97 cx did the same thing when I put my ITR into that.. it's a pretty common occurance with swapped Eks. I'm not quite sure how to remedy it though...

I wouldn't be so quick to say it's the alternator or the grounds as there have been other people that have run into the same problem..

That is just a starting point to trace the problem you go with the most obvious choice first because 50+% of the time that is what it is.you normally don't touch the auxillary light harness when doing a swap so i might have something to do with the alternatar not charging (fully) not hooking one of the grounds up or having to move a ground and not scraping the paint all the way off of where you put it and therefore not getting a proper ground. just a couple of ideas

just cleaned and sanded connecters for the grounds from valve cover,h-lights-tranney. also made sure all grounds including battery were tight. checked all plugs ,connections to alt etc. belt is tight but i dont think overtight.might just be stuck with this i guess.

go to Autozone or whatever you have there and have them test your Alternator and battery to be on the safe side. (just incase)

sorry to hijack the thread, but what does it mean when you brake and the headlights and everything else dim? Then when I get to about almost 3k they are normal. I checked grounds...... And nothing dims when I have my heater blowing full blast???

well 12V is what your looking for for power. With a new battery and you say the alt. is fine. I assume you got it checked out right? Everything should be fine. As said by someone earlier make sure your grounded properly.
