Default Headlight question on EK Hatch...

Hello,

my EK hatch uses 9003 headlights... I have 9006 HID kit from my accord. Will my 9006 kit fit on EK hatches?

If not, is there any way of modifing it to work? I dont want to spend another $200-$300 for another set of HIDs.

Thanks and God bless,
Danny

No, a 9006-based kit will not fit in the EK housings. Do yourself (and other drivers) a favor and stick with some high-performance halogen bulbs instead.

I was unaware that the 9003 bulbs were the same until Sunday when me and a buddy where at Autozone picking up a new bulb for his Si...they didn't have any H4 bulbs but I upon further inspection...the 9003 are identical...so he purchased it and it fit fine. I guess it just depends on where you purchase them from and what brand they are.

The 9003 and the H4 are indeed interchangeable, but they are not technically identical. Here is a short article explaining this in some detail: http://www.candlepowerinc.com/pdfs/H4_9003.pdf

Really...so are my H4 bulbs illegal here in the states? Now I'm confused.
