HEADLIGHT QUESTION??
i wanted to put halo projectors with blue light bulbs so it looks just like a bmw how do i do this?........
JUST KIDDING
my real question is on a eh/eg headlight i have an old school black denji headlights im in the middle of retro fitting. i dont feel like dumping 300 on TL so im useing tsx because i love the color and cut off they have but they arent bixenon. well anyways i want a high beams also and wanted to stick just like a yellow halogen bulb in the high beam compartment my only problem is when u click the highs the HIDS go off. any way to have the lows stay on when you click on for highs. i really only want the highs for back roads and fogg thats why im going with a yellow hallogen bulb.
thanks
and if anyone knows where to get yellow halogens in h1

Re: HEADLIGHT QUESTION?? (Mr HYDE)
You could always use a relay that gives power to the low beams when the high beams come on. There is probably a better way to do it, but thats what I'd probably do.

Yeah, like I said, Just order the bulds if you've already got the ballasts and all the wiring installed. They can hook you up with the right Kelvin to get you the BMW look.

no i donthink your understanding me. i said i didnt want to run a bixenon and i didnt want to run a second set of hids. ill break it down for you
1 set of hids in projectors
1 set of halogens in the high beam spot (pref yellow if i can find them)
my question again is when i click on the high beams my hids turn off and the high beams turn on. how can i get them both to stay on? hids and high beams?
im very aware of the colors and burn temps my question is not what to run but how to get both high and lows to turn on in a civic.

So where are you getting the magic place to mount the 2nd bulb? I think Efs only have one bulb mount, which I assume is where your current one is.
Besides, doesnt the low beam HID put out much better light than even a high beam halogn?

Take your headlight switch out and look at the harness on the back of it. There should be a blank spot. Move the low beam wire there, its a thick white wire. The lows will stay on with the highs now. You should still use a harness to power the ballasts. Ive used this wiring setup for 3 or 4 years now with no problem.

Re: HEADLIGHT QUESTION?? (e46civic)
where is the headlight switch located?
i cut off the plugs that plug into the lights and wired the 2 wire plug that came with the ballast and i have the 3rd wire for the high beams going to the high beam light. moving this wire will on the switch will allow the lows to stay on?

Put a Diode to connect the High beam + and the low beam -. this will keep the low beam circuit on when using high beams.
Or you can use the G pin off of the Headlight switch on the steering colum.
