Headlight problem in my 2000 civic, help please!
I have a 2000 civic ex, which previously had HID's on it.. The passenger side went out and wasnt working so I thought the ballast was broken, anyways im getting tired of HID's so I just went and bought regular silverstars to put in.. But the passenger side still wont work!
The drivers side works fine, the passenger side looks like it would work fine but the light will not go on. I checked a 30 amp fuse in the box and it was good.
If anyone has anything I can check, or knows what could be wrong, please help me out!
Thanks!

Are there a few fuses i should check? It would have to be a fuse for only the passenger side, since the drivers side is still good. In the fuse box under the hood, there was a square 30 amp fuse, it was good. But if that was bad even, it would make both lights go out im guessing?

make sure the headlight is actutally making the connection in the harness...w/ those 3prong connections you sometimes have to squezze them together so they actually connect and make contact

as mentioned prior, could be the prongs not making contact with the connector... Another problem could be that the prong itself is not making contact with the wires... Check the relays as well...

how did you hook up the hid set? did you just hook up the balasts to the stock connectors? if you did you might have burnt out the wiring.
you should get a multimeter and make sure you're getting power to the connector. also it could be a bad connector.

Re: (gftgrill)
yeah the hids just connected to the stock 9003 thing.. thats what i was thinking, either burnt out the wiring since i never upgraded it, or the connector is bad.. i guess i will check those

I don't think it would work. I think it would work temporarily, but eventually since you're running two lights off of one wire, you would burn out that side too. you should do it right the first time and fix the side that's not working. That way you won't have more problems down the road.

Don't remember if EK's are like this, but some Hondas have a fuse for each headlight in the under dash fuse box. Sounds like one is blown.
