the best way is to start with 1000 grit wet sand paper and work your way till like 1500 grit and smooth it out as best as possible and spray quality clear coat (not spray paint clearcoat) than get like 1800grid sand paper and wet sand the clear, than finally polish with some 3m polishing compound and high speed buffer. Also the clear coat should be baked after spraying at like 120 degrees. to insure that the heat from the headlight will not make the clear coat peel.

It's spam. He's not trying to sell to you in particular. He's just trying to sell at all.

Ignore it. Report it. Carry on with your conversation.

As for the headlights, there is a kit sold at Autozone that you use with a normal power drill. Tape off around your headlight before you start and use the different sand paper grades until it looks good. We've had great results at my house.

Wet sanding can work too. SIRIUS has a thread on ClubCivic about it.

I have wet sanded with 2000 grit sandpaper and then used Mother's plastic polish. Came out pretty good. If I were more patient, I'd have gone with 1500 first, then 2000. I don't know how much the kits are, but I just bought some 2000 grit sandpaper for ~$4 and plastic polish for ~$3.50 (IIRC).

Here is a couple of pics from my Tacoma.

^^ looks great.
defintely do what NOFX said. if you do use the 3m kit, or any other your going to want to tape, off or remove your bumper and tape the fender.

I used, I think its called blue magic I got from auto zone & you apply in small circles & wipe away & it worked really well for my OEM '00 heads. and was pissed cuz I ordered new heads because of the fog & they looked brand new afterwards... now they just sit in storage.

i usually wetsand (800-if really yellow'd, 1000 if not, 1500, 2000,2500 grit on a buffering wheel ( kit i bought paid 2 bills for but worth it since a new set of headlights are 150+ )
then use a compound and buff it all in)
or buy a package from your local auto store for auto headlights restorations..
