i just swaped a b16a in a civic hb 96 and it starts but after it runs for 30 sec the headers start to smoke and the valve cover isnt even hot, i also put a cat on with a new exhaust and the cat had a hole with treads, that might be for a senser but not sure, the check light is also on, help or advice please?

if its a light amount of blue or white it may just be some oil or coolent that dripped onto the headers and is just evaporating now keep an eye on it just incase though, if you notice anything wierd about the car investage more.

A lot of headers still have residue on them from the polish used to clean them prior to packing/shipping. It's not unusual for a header to smoke for a bit after initial installation.

I have an OBX header, and it's crap. Mine smokes randomly, crazy.
