Default headers??

Ok I have a 99 civic dx with Dx pace setter exhaust and I recently swaphed heads and have a y8 ex head and I bought ex headers but the downpipe does not reach the exhaust. Is this because its dx exhaust and ex headers. or can i get a Cat to connect the headers and exhaust or did I just get riped off cuz their ebay headers?

I would imagine thats the case. It would be cheaper to take it to an exhaust shop and have them extend it a little bit. All they should have to do is measure, cut and weld.

Wait, wait... your car doesnt have a cat on it right now? If you dont have a cat then you need to go to an exhaust shop and they will be able to easily bolt the cat to your header and connect it to your existing piping.

ur stock cat was connected to .the exhaust manifold and when u took the manifold off u also took off the take..you'll have to get an ex cat (or w/e cat u want) and put it on and then extend the wires of the sensor

thats not a cat, it's a garbage test pipe, you need a cat from or for a civic EX, and your secondary 02 sensor needs to be placed after the cat, hence you have a DX and your second o2 sesnor is located under the hood, so now that the cat is under the car you need to move it, this is not a hard concept

just get an aftermarket high flow cat for your car...hehehe...or just get a test pipe and be all good..you will be running with no cat, but who cares...unless you live in a state that smog tests

we'll the second sensor reads after the cat or something like that..so you'd have to extend the second sensor after the EX cat..i just put a bung on the exhaust and put the sensor on there

You have no choice but to use an EX cat.

The D16Y7 cat is integrated into the stock exhaust manifold.
