header o2 sensor question...
i did a search and couldnt find anything on this sensor...but if there already is a thread on this, then im sorry.
i recently disconnected the o2 sensor that plugs into the header near the catalytic converter because the threads were shot. so then i just plugged it. do these specific o2 sensor make the car perform any differently? is this something that i shouldnt be running without? what does it do exactly?

you also loose power , because your engine can't read exhaust temp. so it can't read if your car is rich or lean.
