header on my 96 dx
im looking for an aftermarket header for my 96 dx hatch i have a d16y7 but i cant find any header's for the 96 except for the ex and what i have been told is that it wont fit because there will be a gap between the header and the rest of the downpipe i dont want a stock header either i want it to look nice under the hood

Re: header on my 96 dx (camarine2003)
From what I understand, the move is to just get the ex header, and then go ahead and covert everything south of that to ex level (cat converter, etc..) Finding the rest off an ex would prob be cheapest. I'm going through the same with my y7. It's no wonder you can't find aftermarket headers with catalytic converters mounted on them.. pretty unsightly, eh?
By the way, I read your post a few up from this.. when you swap out the exhaust, maybe throw in a new upstream (the one on the header) o2 sensor. If the code (can't recall the number) is something like "system too lean, bank..", this might get you running right again.
On the air filter, man get rid of that useless box the stock tube is resting on if it's still under your hood, and stick a tube that fits straight onto the throttle body, then you can run a good cone filter. Those paper ones in the 'other box' are crap.
Good luck.
