jus installed a 98 type r header on my poor man's itr setup... have a few problems..i also installed it with a test pipe..has the donut gasket connected and reused the old gasket between the test pipe and my skunk2 exhaust...

few things i've noticed:
1) when shifting through any gear i hear a blow off valve type sound
2) when idling the car see lil drips of water coming from where the testpipe meets
the exhaust
3)my idle seems a little rougher

also would like to mention that i dont have the bracket underneath the motor to support the header..will this be a problem? would an exhaust leak affect my idle? any help would be appreciated to help me out

as far as i know not having the bracket at the bottom of the header is ok..that shouldn't be the problem at all. correct me if i'm wrong h-t members...i would like to know about the bracket too myself...i'm about to install an itr header on my b16 and i do have the bracket but i have learned that the bracket won't bolt up to a b16. people tell me that its no big deal having the bracket on. so it shouldn't be the bracket
