Default header

I didnt want to jack anyones thread so i posted this on its own. I have a civic 2000 1.6 LX. I had to change my o2 sensor after the original went **** up. I noticed before i put the new one in my exhaust manifold had 2 cracks in it. I figured if i have to change the SOB i want to put a header pipe in its place. I have seen alot of them online but the question i have is...when a header is installed is the converter relocated under the engine after the 2 piece header assembly. I ask because the factory LX versions as you know have the converter connected to the ugly OEM exhaust header right in front of the motor. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah i had an 87 civic where the exhaust manifold failed too....wtf is with that metal they use?

Default Re: header

go out and find a z6 or a y8 header and down pipe.. take the car to an exhaust shop and have them put it on. the y7 one is longer so the exhaust pipe will have to be entended. then get a spacer for the o2 so it wont throw a code.
