I believe my valve seals are leaking by and need to be replaced. While I have the motor in pieces I'm going to change the timing belt, water pump, and tentioner. And if my budget allows I may upgrade my springs and retainers for a future cam upgrade. I have a few questions about this.

1) Can the valve seals be changed without removing the head?
2) What else should I change while I'm in there? I'm being buget minded here so I won't be Building it up like I would like, but may have enough for a partial upgrades in prep for rebuilt head.

you need to take the head off to replace the seals...you can upgrade to type r dual valve springs if you want

Do you happen to know the ITR springs part number? I'm sure I could search for it, but I already have a thread started so I figured I'd ask.

Another Question

Will a 2000 Civic SI head work on a B16a2 bottom end? The only reason I ask is because of OBD1 vs OBD2.
