head gasket removal on an aluminum block.
what is the easiest and safest way to remove old head gasket material when replacing the gasket? I don't want to carve up the block or head. Thanks.

rotating air tool and circular rubber brush used for cleaning aluminum surfaces.

nothing thats really going to help you with gasket remains. you'll have to work the bulk of the gasket off with some kind of chisel and then do the rest with that brush. just be REALLY careful with the chisel. aluminum pits EASY.
