Head Gasket going out!
hey well i think my Head gasket is giving up on me. Reason being my car started to blow out white smoke (coolant into combustion chambers), it would only do it on initial start ups like in the mornings or after it wasnt driven for a while. Now, its like a fog machine yet it goes away after i drive for a bit...
now i know the gasket itself isnt too much but right now i dont have a lot of time. Ive heard of a sealant or something of the like which is like a temporary fix. Right? just wondering what it is called and were could i pick it up. I tried searching for it but nothing came up or maybe i just didnt use the right search words but anyways Any help would be great, Thanks!
Ohh and BTW its a 00' D16y8

When your head gasket blows usually the pressure goes from the combustion chamber into the cooling system forcing water out of the radiator causing your car to over heat constantly.. I'm no expert on this but whats happening sounds like something else is going on..

"Bars Leaks" @ the autoparts store...Theres several different brands. I dont know if any of them work or not though, but it may buy you some time...

or u cold have bad valve seal(s). white smoke also means your motor is burning oil... check for signs of oil in coolent and coolent in oil. then check each spark plug for signs of burning oil

BINGO! ihad the same exact problem. my radiator runs water FAST causing over heating problems, very slugish idle, white smoke, and not very pleasing to drive with. About time to change that gasket.
