Default Having trouble with my axle under 150 or so horsepower.

Shouldn't the stock axles stand up to more than that? I have a d16 turbo'd on 5 lbs, and my driver's side axle keeps making noise... I've already replaced it once, and it stayed for about a month. Any ideas?

I know people running 400+ whp daily/track driven HB's on stock axles. What type of noise is it making?

hrm well, it only does it sometimes... and I hear it at low speeds. it's like a half-clunk. replacing the axle fixed the same noise last time. maybe I just got a poorly remanufactured axle. oh and yes, I do drive my car hard.

uh wtf? wow. and stock H22 HB owners have problems with stronger aftermarket axles.

anyway, yeah maybe you got an axle that isn't for your car/motor.

I know people who know how to drive running 400+ whp daily/track driven HB's on stock axles.
