Having trouble! *cant slip car into any gear* need help
as i'am writing you this, i just got my car towed, and trying to figure out what the is wrong!
i was in 5th gear going 60 on the high way, busted a neutral, as i finish taking the off ramp, i cant get into ANY gear !!!
i pull over, force first nuithing...turn the car off, clutch in and i can get into all gears, so i leave it in 1st and start the car.......what happens? the car shakes and turns off ! leave it in neutral start the car, wont go into any gear agian!
what could be wrong? all fluids are properly met (trans, etc) could it be my clutch? tranny?

how many miles do you have on your clutch? has the feeling of the clutch been spongy for a while?
if not, i think it might be your hydraulic clutch system. check to see if the clutch fluid in the clutch master cylinder reservoir is black? if it is, your master cylinder is going out. either that or the slave cylinder. i had a similar problem and i bled the system and that cured the problem.

that happened to me after i did my swap.
it ended up being that i had too much taken off my flywheel, causing my pressure plate and clutch to wear SUPER fast, and wore out my clutch cable too.
oh and i guess i didn't tighten the flywheel/clutch bolts to what they shoulda been either.
dunno if any of this could apply to you, but i hope it helps nevertheless...

Start the car. EBrake down. Push clutch all the way down. Try to pop it into first. Does the car move forward a little? If so, then adjust your clutch pedal. You're done. If not, then IONO.

Do you know how to drive a stick? Not trying to be mean, but it could be a reason if you dont. If it dies when you take the clutch off, maybe your not giving enough gas.
And if you learned to drive a stick on your car then your clutch is probably gone into little peices.

check your clutch master cylinder, its up by your clutch pedal, see if its leaking fluid. If it is then your CMC is bad and you need a new one. Mine went out and I couldn't get it into gear either! Easy self-job.

hmmm, just a suggestion but, why don't you drop the tranny to see if it is the clutch. and since you have a good amount of mileage on it already, you could swap it out as well. kill two birds with one stone.
which shop in san diego did you go to, to have it checked out?

it's a good thing you got the problem solved so, it was the spring that came loose from the disc that caused that problem?
