hey all i posted a few weeks back and im still having trouble with my car and passing nj inspection. heres the story..

98 dx civic, i put on a header,ex cat and greddy exhaust. i tried extending the o2 sensor wire but it still threw a code. i drove the car for almost two years like that with no problems.
fast forward to the present: i put back on the stock dx header back exhaust and ended up replacing both o2 sensors(denso) i was throwing a code for the secondary o2 heater and when i replaced it and reset the ecu the code dropped and i havnt had a light since. New jersey inspection they plug into the obd port before they do the sniffer test, and it keeps coming back with 3 things
1. o2 sensor not ready to scan
2. catalytic not ready to scan
3. evaporative not ready to scan

it also comes back that no trouble codes are present(which there arn't since theres no cel light)
you can have two of the 3 not ready to scan and still pass

i brought it too a nj licensed repair facility who my mother knows the owner. they plugged in with there tablet computer and he said that indeed its not throwing any codes but he could not get it to only have 2 not ready to scans and told me to go to the dealer.

I am in the process of selling my car so im trying to be as frugal about this as possible, so i figure before i get bent over by the dealer maybe someone has some info that i could try. thanks for reading and any and all information is appreciated!!
