Default Haven't yet got a solid answer...

If a 96 civic DX is wrecked in the front and the airbags deployed, do i need to replace the SRS module and the airbag sensors, or anything else? And is it possible to reset these sensors. I do not want the airbags deploying on me as soon as i hook them up, or when I'm rolling down the road.

On our Audi's at work you have to replaced the module and whatever sensor/airbag was deployed. I'm not sure on the Hondas though, never had the experience. If you do replace anything, disconnect the battery, install the parts, turn the ignition on and then re-connect the battery. This way if anything deploys your face won't be in front of it, you'll be safely out of the car!

for hondas, when there's an accident and the airbags are deployed you need to replace all of the srs components.

Deployed modules, obviously. You do need to replace the sensors. You SHOULD also replace any seat belts and buckles that were in use at the time of the accident. Some vehicles also require the replacement of the clockspring.

Any way you cut it, this ain't gonna be cheap, spanky.
