haven't done it yet so: Review of Volk CE28N's
I got Volk CE28N's in the dark bronze finish (16 inch) because the advan's I ordered did not get shipped (I may still get them if they come to America this century).
Anyway on to the review. Light isn't the word that can describe these bitches. Lets just I was literally swinging them around with one finger. Finish was fantastic. The 16 inch CE28N's are actually a 8 spoke as opposed to the larger sizes which are a 10 spoke....not that it really matters.
Now I had 16 Rota Slipstreams on my car until my wheels got here (Slips are my wifes wheels). I have no power steering and I am using the stock SI power steering rack. Turning the wheel while stationary was a chore (Parallel parking was fun). Even very low speeds (like 5 mph) were weight lifting exercises.
When I put these wheels on (same tires which are Toyo FZ4's...205/40/16) on my car.....I could swear I had power steering again. Actually my car feels hella loose now almost like driving a totally different car.
It has change everything from braking to acceleration to handling. now I wouldn't be surprised if it was stock wheels or OEM honda wheels (Like GSR's or SI's) but since the slips are supposed to be pretty light it really surprised me that I felt that big of a difference.
I put them on the day I was driving to Toronto and I had a cavalier, 1.6 EL and vr6 GTI that wouldn't leave me alone. I spun all the way thru 1st without trying (and I only have bolt ons and a crushed header)....that was some different ****. I even barked 3rd which i don't normally do.

Well i didn't think to weigh one of them before they wento n but Volk officialy says the wheels weigh 10.8 pounds. Its the most 10.8 pounds....I wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to 9 pounds.
I'd swear that's an understatement.

I would like to take theis time to say that i hate you but i love your rims. I woudl gladly low ball you an offer of 900 dollars if you ever think about selling them.
Great rim choice, they are my favorite.
Edit: BTW this thread is worthless W/O pix.

Hey Hurrell, I just bought some really lightweight wheels too!
I'll be reviewing mine in a few days, but I'll save that for it's own topic later.

yeah thanks for not hijacking my thread.
Pics...... Not the greatest ones but hopefully somemore this weekend.
Actually one of these days I need to get with tom and his Digi cam and get some group pics.
Here is a few pics that I have with the wheels:
When is your stuff coming Tom (The last part)??
Moe don't hate me. Hate my wheel distributor. If he didn't screw up my order those would be advan's instead.

They are backordered until November. No one has any. I called and emailed and searched until I got intouch with a Sales person for Apex'i USA. We negotiated a very fair price and the wheels were here 2 days later.

naw.....those wheels are going on my next project (18's).
I actually I had RCII's on the way in 16X7 in gold. Oh wheel. I'm over those wheels now.
My next project will have Model 6's in 18's, RC/TC II's in 18's, Volk Gram light Pros in 18's or Volk LU37K's in 18's.

That's impressive. And I thought my 13-pound C8's were light enough. Very sexy wheels.
