no, use 3m window weld. the same stuff used to put windshields in. or just buy a set of energy suspension mount inserts that look nice for about 35 bucks

op, if you want to spend about $14 on 3m window weld go a head. the cheaper alternative way is going to lowes or homedepot and buying there $3 polyurethane window caulk. works the same. they both suit the same purpose. shoot i've heard some people use regular silicone caulking too.

yea the regular silicone stuff makes it not that stiff but I guess works ok'ish. I paid 5 bucks for this stuff.

btw that window caulking is white.....right?

Whats that mean? I assume you are saying cause of the vibration and feel of the car with stiff engine mounts? But you can do a swap and use stock engine mounts.

I would think white caulk for mounts would be kinda ugly. I might try this to repair a busted torqe mount. I will buy white in that case as no one will see it unless there under the car.

window weld is the only thing i've ever seen being used. never heard about the silicone, but i guess as long as the air pockets are out of it, it should work fine.

they make a black polyurethane window caulking for homes/business too. i think it's about the same grade as the 3m stuff.

im also talking about the black stuff, not the white.

I've used the window weld AND the $3 polyurethane driveway sealer. Both come out exactly the same texture and consistency when they dry in my experience.
