Default Have Questions on Xsi or Sir II from japandomesticmotors.com

Xsi
1. Everyone raves about the S1 tranny, I was weondering why it is so good, I can't find much information about the Xsi .. So I figured id come and ask.
2. Do YOU think its worth the $2000+? that I would pay for it? (Opinion) if/if not tell me another engine that would be good for the same price plz.
3. Does it come with VTEC .. me and my friend were looking around but couldn't find if it was, I think it does im just trying to make sure.
and add anything else you guys would think is helpful to this swap.
4. Could my stock ECU be reprogrammed or should I jus stick with the PR3?
5. and would the stock motor mounts work, or would I need aftermarket ones?
Im getting a Civic Hatch .. 92-95 this summer, Im just sorta pre-researching.
thanks all.

And I know about the SirII I just want an opinion which is better

the Xsi motor is a b16a2 that has a cable tranny, it has vtec and is a good motor, get new mounts, leave the pr3

came out of a 92-93 Integra
170Hp 113Trq 10.4 Compression (JDM OBD I)

that's all i can think of........

u are going to need a hyrdo to cable conversion kit from hasport or some mount company to use that cable tranny....

oh and if your asking questions on if a b16 has vtec search around a little more specifically in the faq sections of each car section.....

I was looking .. and i figured id rather have a hydro tranny then the cable tranny, I drove my friends cable tranny truck and I didn't like it much.. but maybe thats just being close minded.

I chose 2 motors which are the same from 2 different places, which would be better to buy from?

The XSi was made from 89-93, first car ever to have the B16A.
89-91 had a B16a1 160HP, 10.2 CR, 58mm tb Non OBD PR3 etc; while 91-93 had the B16a2 170HP 10.4HP, 60mm tb OBD1.

Pm or email if you have more q's or try my site.

I have no idea what the pricing is like in the USA but for $2000 US you could probably buy my whole XSi (here in NZ) , no idea what shipping would cost though.
