have a question concerning 97 Civic EX coupes
Ok me and a close friend of mine , have been discussing the motors that came in the 97 civic ex's , I have always thought that the 96-2000 exs came with the d16y8 motor (sohc 1.6) . He says his had a DOHC motor in it . Did any 96-98 ex's come equipped with DOHC motors in the EX Coupes ? Also could it have been dealer modified .

Re: have a question concerning 97 Civic EX coupes (2000CivEx)
Your friend is retarded. He is either lying about having a DOHC or a DOHC was swapped in before he bought the car.
Also, as far as I know, a DOHC was never a dealer installed option for the EX.
