It's a stock radio that I'm "assuming" came in the car from the factory. BUT it was laying in the parts that came with the car... Make since??? When I plugged the deck back into the wiring harness I did not have to put in a sec. code for the deck to work. Confused there but it works....

Does your radio have the keyless plug socket in the rear? Can you find the 16P connector?

I really can't say if it does or not! I guess I will be taking my dash apart tomorrow to find out if it does or not. If the deck does not have the extra plug in the rear, what are the chances of having the "other harness" in car? And if the car does have that "other harness" what else would be needed to hook up the keyless entry??? You have been very helpful by the way!!!

If you have the socket and plug, which seems likely, then just buy a remote.

if it does have the factory keyless then the time and money you you spend to get a keyfob from the dealer. you mide as well go somewhere like bestbuy and just get a alarm with keyless installed. that way you get 2 new controllers and an alarm and a lifetime warranty at around $200

I'm pretty sure an OEM keyless remote costs $40, which is 5X less than this^ alarm system.

Didn't take my deck out today like I planned but I did notice the deck has the "valet-disarm button" between the AM/FM & Cd/Tape buttons on the face...

Took the deck out today & I guess I'm just missing the keyless remotes.. Can anyone tell what the connector is in the picture & where/what it goes to????? It's taped to the stereo harness behind the deck.

Plug in the green connector into the rear of the radio and buy a remote.

OK I did that earlier today but is the other plug? It has blue factory tape around it holding it to the harness that has the keyless/stereo plugs. It looks to have 16 or so pins in it as well...

This what I do when I'm looking at thread and wanna ask a question. Find the poster that has given the most info and send that person a message instead of posting in a thread that has nothing to do with your car.... Or try google!!!! Seriously this get threads off track and then you end up with pages on non-sense!!!! The next person will ask if an 86 Civic Wagon had a keyless option!!!!
