you can make a n/a sohc pretty fast in a lightweight car like a hatchback or crx.

Aye, i'm gonna have to say turbo.
Look into TurboPandas deal, he's selling Supra pistons and B16 rods, already machined together for about 520 shipped. All you have to do is get the block notched.

Add in a nice turbo, fine an STD manifold, some injectors, fuel pump, management, maybe some cams, and ignition. And you've got a beast. Almost less then what it would cost for GSR swap.

I believe he said he ran 1.6 bar with just a blockguard and other essentials.

cheapest route is to build the bottom end and turbo it. It can be done other ways, but turbo is the easiest and probably cheapest.

I have a d16y8 mini-me right now with all the boltons. I'm getting a turbo and rods/pistons. If you want to make this fast thats what you gotta do, turbo rods and pistons and lots o boost. And thats not my opinion, thats a fact.

lol yea he is
stillencivic, all you have to do is look through some posts or search. Half the people here have their setups in their sigs with 1/4 mile numbers or dyno numbers, it's really not that hard. And the people chiming in with their advice are just trying to help you and are looking out for your best interest.
