I don't think anyones turned a 92-95 into a 4wd car but I know some guy had made a del sol into a 4wd car. Honestly, with how much money you're gonna spend on it, it won't be worth it. Yes the drive-shaft, axles and rear end from a CRV will work but how much do you think its gonna cost to get a tranny that will spin that drive-shaft will cost?

it would be easier to use two engines
k20s or H22s, something with cable shifters, then just use two sets of cables on the shifter
honestly dude you're not going to do it
if you're asking on honda-tech about it, you dont know enough to do it and its not going to happen, also search its been covered 234252345324 times

Re: (EGmikeH22)
Honda Tuning Magazine did a three or four part series on doing a 4wd integra, but it is insane custom fab and you better be good at welding and shortening drive shafts. Probably cost at least 10k to do it right and fully functional

The idea had crossed my mind of making an awd ek hatch, but I soon shed it. You're looking at quite a bit of custom fabrication. Not only the welding, but also figuring out how everything would set. If it doesn't get put together right, it might just shake itself apart. Honestly, it'd be easier to just take a sawzall to a hatch shell, and drop it on a Blazer frame. Not something most would recommend, but then again, cutting apart a Honda only to realize you can't finish the job isn't recommended either.
If you think you're up to it, then yeah, you can cannibalize a CR-V, or track down a JDM/UKDM AWD civic. The more intelligent thing would probably be to look outside of Honda. Given the fabrication you'd be doing, you might as well find a vehicle that was designed with a strong AWD chassis and similar dimensions/mounting. Then you have to deal with getting power to the rear wheels, and how much power you'll put there. It's a headache to think about it, but then again, it's not my headache. Good luck, and do a write-up if you make one, so everyone can drool and copy.

True($$$s), it's been done, like the others said. Braille (look it up on google) made all-wheel and rear-wheel drive civics and integra's as rally cars a while back.

Well, as much of a waste of time and money as it would be, there are worse things out there to spend money on, and even if you do end up spend 15k doing it right yourself, is it that bad? I know there are civics out there that have that kind of money invested in the mods, and yes, often it is a waste of resources.
I also know that if I saw an AWD civic at a car show next to a drag civic, I'd be inclined to be staring at the AWD car. And hell yeah, if it were done right, it would be mean as all get out.
I guess the determining factor is not so much the money as much as can you do it, and is it what you want. You can spend too much time and money on a car regardless of what you do to it.

I'd be wondering how much the 700 hp drag civic would cut off its 1/4 mile times with the AWD.
