Default Have a 97 EJ8 shell that needs a motor...look what i found...

Hey guys,

Well im about to buy a 97 2 door ex coupe shell from a friend that will need a motor. I was thinking of going with a GSR swap, so I was on ebay looking around and ran across this.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...h=018

The only thing is, it doesnt say how many miles are on it, why it was pulled from the car, and it looks like its missing a piece at the top of the motor. Also, the price he is asking for it is really damn low. The shell is OBD2 and im not sure what the K20 would be, but what do you guys think about swapping a K20 into the coupe? Also, how does the motor and price and all that look to you guys. Thanks.

Mike

Looks like its missing the cop's (coil over plugs). K20a.org will help a lot, but the k20 swap is a lot of work and i think average build cost has gone down some since first started but is still around $8000.

make him prove a bill of sale that he got from buying the motor.. ask for a close up of the vin, have it ran to see if its stolen. that would be my only guess as to a cheap k series. unless its blown.
