has my civic been lowered?
just got me new to me civic today (98 dx coupe) all is stock inside and out except the rims/tires which are brand spankin new.
it looks lower than stock hondas of the same year but dosnt looks as low as the lowered ones and im unsure of what the stock ride height is.
new tires are 205/40zr17 and theres about 6.5-6.75 inches of clearance between the ground and the side skirts and about 6.25in of clearance between the ground and the front bumper.

I would suspect with that kind of clearance and those size wheels That it probarly isn't lowered much cuz those r pretty big wheels for a Honda I use 15 and 16s the biggest and still get a lil rub but the real way is to check the springs see if they are aftermarket or if it has coilovers

Have you seen a civic with stock suspension on 17" wheels before? It damn near looks like a 4x4. Now look at yours...wheel wells and tires are too close together not to lowered.

Based on just seeing the car I would say its lowered some way or another. Those are indeed stock struts, and what looks like stock springs, but can be some sport spring. My h&r sport springs visually look pretty similar. But kinda looks like your stock springs were cut. Stock springs are longer.
