has this happened to anyone else???

ok yesterday, i opened up my hatch. i pull up on the glass and all of a sudden the two shocks come out of the glass and fall down. im like WTF? upon closer inspection. the nut on the glass that the shocks screw into are totally stripped out. my guess is that they just got stripped out from all the opening and closing of the hatch for 11 years.. i ordered new nuts from majestic honda at $6.95 piece. jeezz.

happened to me. opened my hatch all the way up, b/c the shocks are a lil dead and one flew down... left a small dent too https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif . both were stripping, so i bought new ones (worked at a dealership at the time https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif ). fixed the problem between $5-15 (not sure about $$ again).

just get new thingies....

why would someone do that? if it was someone trying to break into my car, what good would detatching the hatch shocks do? there is a lock at the bottom middle of the glass that keeps it shut now the shocks.
