a Transport company will do that. When my friend moved to Virginia they used a transport company to move his car from California to Virginia

You have to find someone willing to ship a shell since most prefer a running car to move it ( since they pick up and drop off cars between your pick up and drop off location ) I would think it will run about $300 to $500 on an open bed and a minimum of $750 in a closed container.
I once had a car shipped from TExas to California in a closed container it cost me $1250 then again the car was worth it.

When my wife moved from Vancouver BC to Philly we had her car shipped to Toronto then we drove it the rest of the way. I don't remember the details but it was moved by train so it was rather cheap. It cost way too much to ship it across the international border though and we had friends in Toronto that we wanted to see.
I guess my point is that it was generally a good experience and that I think shipping by train would be cheaper than truck.

when i got my evo7, it was in a closed container on a semi truck from florida to california and it was $500... shipping from netherlands to florida only cost $850 in a closed container... some ports cost more than others, though... also when i got my s15, shipping from japan to california was only $850 as well in a closed container as well...

if you're shipping a car from state to state, it should take about the same time as mailing something with ground shipping...
if youre shipping a car from another country... there are TOO MANY things to deal with... it could take anywhere from one month to two years...
