has anyone heard of putting a 350 in a civic before?
The guy i was talking to was going to put a 350 in a civic and make it rear wheel drive...the guy doing it is crazy smart. So far every car he has built has ran and won almost every race its been in. He use to work at acura for a while and then he was manager of some shop in delaware but he is starting his own speed shop. The place opens tomorrow I think its called track side auto...so has anyone ever heard of this being done before....i mean it would handle like **** but i bet if he got it to work it would be fast as sh*t! what do you guys think?

I'm sure that with the right amount of money and work that it can be done. I think everybody has seen that focus with the Mustang 5.0 in it.

Right...most anything can be done with the right amount of cash, but part of the purpose of people modifying 4cyl cars is to be able to produce the power:weight numbers of the 8cyl muscle cars without the displacement. I'm not saying it's a stupid idea but it's like the car no longer has an identity. Plus I heard the Miatas (already RWD) with 5.0 blocks in them handle like ****. As stated above I think the CRX would be worse.

the first car that I built was a porsche 914 with chevy 327. You will love. The power is scary. It a lot cheaper to do it in a porsche than a civic. The 914 is the same size as a civic or even smaller & lighter.

But, it is backed by factory research, and uses mostly Mustang off-the-shelf parts to keep costs down.
Why the hell would you put a V8 in a Civic?

A few years back, I bought kit for $1500 for my set-up. Last time I check, the price is about the same.
