Has anyone done this to an EG6 Gauge Cluster
Just looking through an older Options magazine and found this. Just wanted to know if anone has done this? I might experiment when I get some time. It would definitely help me see redline better.

not a good mod!! </TD></TR></TABLE>
Actually it would be easier to see redline. Right now its a pain in the *** to see redline at night. I could do a shift light but thats gay and not my style. This would be a good alternative.

some race cars are like that. its easier to see the redline because the needle is right at the top. i think its only worth it if youre going to be hitting redline all the time otherwise itll be pain to read i think.

It depends upon how you sit, and where you position the steering wheel. I, for one, sit high and close and have the steering wheel adjusted low, so that the top half of the tach is completely covered and only the bottom is easily visible so this mod would be a step backwards for me. I think you should consider details like this before making this decision.

Re: (Kendall)
This has nothing to do with trying to be original. Racecars, and not just SOME of them, have been doing this for eons. It makes sense....all your peak or max or critical values are straight up. That way, you glance at it and instead of "oh ****...what RPM am I at now?" it's like "ah it's straight up, time to shift"
Whatever...bad example....you get the point.

Re: Has anyone done this to an EG6 Gauge Cluster (Phantastic)
this mod could be beneficial for me seeing that its hard for me to see the 8-9k area. Plus the JDM clusters dont light up all that bright.

Seems pretty easy. I'm guessing just unscrew the couple of screws holding it down and rotate. Screw back in.
I see lots of drag racers doing that mounting technique.

Re: (Dimi)
old school drag racers have been doing this with their monster tachs forever...it's nothing new...just looks kinda stupid in a stock cluster
If you really want to see a more accurate redline better, get a real tach on the A-pillar
