has anyone did toms easiet brake master cylinder upgrade 4 a 92-95 civic eg
the reason why i am asking is because i did this master cylinder upgrade and the next day my brake booster started leaking and its leaking from the back side that connects top the fire wall and i wanted to see has anyone else had this problem or did my brake booster just happen to go bad all of a sudden
and the upgrade is a 91 civic ex brake master cylinder on a 92-95 civic and heres the original post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=364783

I used a GSR brake booster, and an Integra RS master cylinder.
Bolted right up.

if its leaking from the rear of the master cylinder(between the MC and booster),then the MC is bad,bad seal.there should be no fluid coming out of the rear at all.the only thing in the rear is the cup where the plunger goes.then it has a seal in there to keep the fluid in the MC.

To do a basic booster test do this.. turn off the car and pump the brakes untill the pedal becomes hard and it should be more towards the top.. then turn on the car if the pedal sinks then your booster is fine..
I would think your master is going out since your leaking fluid and prob the rear cupseal (which keeps the fluid in on the primary piston) is torn.
take out the master then inspect it .
and yes upgrading the master to the 15/16ths will make a difference.

I used Tom's idea of the 91 EX brake cylinder. Fits and works great. My stock DX MC was also leaking. Every time I stepped on the brakes and held it, it would slowly sink to the floor until I felt this click and then no more pressure. Got it new for like 80 bux through a friend from his shop. It bolts right on without any problems. If you changed just the cylinder then I don't think it will affect the booster. Maybe just a bad booster.

This is ridiculous. You guys are spending way too much money on
master cylinders. If yours goes out you can buy a rebuild kit for around
$10. And if you want an upgrade (recommended, I love my 1") you should
just buy the non abs jdm ones. Just get the booster with it and it bolts right
up. I have been selling them left and right for $50 shipped.
oh, works great with rear drums.

the fluid is coming from there , the leak is from your master cylinder.
did you buy a used or reman or new or what ?

there is NO fluid in the booster.if its leaking back there and if it is brake fluid then its your MC.the booster is just a big open canister thing, nothing inside of it.
