I have some good and some bad stuff to say about them. I've been to their shop a bunch of times. I bought my car from a friend of mine who had all the work done at Pacific, so i went there to change the clutch cause it was dead. So i ordered a ACT stage 3. When it came in i went to have it installed and everything was fine. Then a few months later I find out that the clutch they installed was actually a clutchmaster stage 3. So I called them up and did some talking. Turns out they pretty much tryed to screw me so i had my mom give them a call and she did some yelling and screaming. So they agreed to give me my money back and i kept the clutch.

Where are you guys getting "ACT Stage 3" from?
As far as I've seen it's really just this:
ACT pressure plates - Heavy Duty or Xtreme
And then choose the disk you want.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong (it's possible) but I thought Clutch Masters did the whole "Stage" thing.
I've owned 3 ACT clutches and not once was it ever offered as "stages" but merely as I described it.

pp plates : heavy duty, xtreme, and maxx xtreme
discs : organic (sprung), cermetallic 6/4 puck (un sprung)
make any combinations of those above, ACT has no stages like other companies

So what about their metal thinner head gaskets?
The thread originator is a guy I know and that's what he really wants to know about.
Has anyone ever had any experiences with their thinner metal head gaskets?
