Default harness question

i just bought a 98 dx and i was wondering how hard it will be to swap in a vtec motor
does the 96-00's have a two piece engine harness like the 92-95's
this is my first 96-00

can i just swap in a y8 intake on to the y7 and still use the stock ecu
because i know the the y7 mani kind of sucks
