Harness id ?
i bought a 96 civic ex w/ a b20v already swapped into it. the car has a green ecu jumper harness w/ a hondata chipped p28. i'm wanting to go back to a d16y8. i already bought a y8 swap minus the harness. i'm told that the harness i already have will work. i'm hoping some one can confirm this. or give some insight into what to look for as far as identifying which harness i have and/or which harness i need. any help is appreciated.
thanks in advance.

The harness that's on the engine is most likely the stock one from the car. It should work fine with the Y8 although you'll probably have to change a few plugs. Just remove the current ECU and jumper harness and get an OBDIIA Y8 ECU to run it.

that's what i'm hoping for. as for the ecu i got a hold of a p2p obd2a. thanks for the input. i'm crossing my fingers that this doesn't turn into a month long project. it's not my first honda but it is my first swap.

i did not do the build myself and you can guess how much pride has gone into the building of the motor itself. i have leaks galore. there is also an si tranny in the mix and i didn't think i would mind. but when running @ 70 and turning 4k rpm w/ an evo2 catback it gets pretty annoying. so now i have 2 avenues to explore, turbo d16 or rebuild/reseal my b20v and get a gsr/ls tranny. i would like the car to run in the meantime though just in case i need it.
