Harness Compatibility Question
I am swapping a USDM 99 GSR motor into my 99 Dx Hatchback. I have most of the parts I need for the swap and Im still rounding up some loose ends.
I understand I need a 99-00 Civic Si Wiring Harness to complete the swap, but I am wondering If I can just use a 98-01 GSR OBD2 Wiring Harness instead.
Thanks for the help guys.

yea u can use the GSR harness. plug and play, u dont NEED a 99-00 si harness especially with a gsr swap because u need the wiring for the dual stage intake. make sure the ECU your using plugs in. theres obd2a and obd2b plugs. usually 96-98 cars were obd2a and 99-up were obd2b.

You are wrong sir. When putting a swap in to a hatchback take in mind that 96-00 hatches have the ecu plugs on the engine harness not inside the vehicle. You will need to use an 99-00 SI engine harness. Sorry you thought your info was right.
