Hardcore water stains, how to remove?
due to the previous owner neglecting the vehicle ( 94 civic DX ) He blew the head gasket a few times and blew a few hoses, and now there is waster stains ALL over the engine bay, I got most of the easy to reach parts by scrubbing with warm water and soap, but the firewall still looks like crap.
I sprayed the purple cleaning stuff and it did not clean the stains off, in fact it ook the paint off the fuel filter, and now Im scared to even try to use it and let it sit for longer.
Does anyone have any advice suggestions about them water stains and how to make my engine bay alot cleaner without eating the paint off?
I am doing a motor swap soon, so ill have easier access to the firewall.
Most of the stains are all behind the hard lines ont he fire wall in which I cannot get my fingers in there to scrub.
I was reading on here something about "GUNK" foam spray, I look for it in discound and autozone and neather had it. Anything else work good, SAFELY?

where is simple green sold at? Advanced auto parts only has orange cleaner and purple power. they are wayy to corrosive and will eat paint, I don't want.
