Hard Radiator Hoses

Hard Radiator Hoses
When at normal operating temperatures, are your radiator hoses hard? Mine seems excessive, with almost no give to them. Car doesn't overheat though. Just worried that there might be something wrong somewhere.

I don't get what the hell you're talking about. Do you mean like, as hard as they are when the car is off, or what? Try and be more specific.

Re: Hard Radiator Hoses (Targa250R)
I know that the system is pressurized when hot. Mine just seems excessive, thats all. And all of this with a 0.9 bar cap. Just being cautious, don't want my hoses popping when I'm in the middle of nowhere.

Can anyone please shed some light on the subject? I just want to know if I should be worried that there is unusual pressure building up somewhere. I kinda remember it not being this hard. No "symptoms" though (overheating, loosing coolant, oil in coolant, coolant in oil, excessive smoke from exhaust, etc.) to indicate anything wrong.

If you are worried, the best thing to do would be to replace them. You could also clean out ur rad and refill your coolant fluid with new fluid. Shouldnt be too expensive.
