Hard morning start for D16Z6
I have a 92 civic cx that recently had a d16z6 swap into it and ever since then the motor is very hard to start in the morning or if it has been sitting for a while. The only codes it's throwing are from a Spoon VTEC controller I had put on the car and the only reason it throughs them is because it is missing a wire. Even with the controller unplugged and computer reset it still is hard to start. Once the car has warmed up for about ten minutes then it runs perfect, before then if you try to drive it misses really bad till it warms up. It has E3 spark plugs in it but I'm going to try NGK ones to see if there is a difference. Mods include PWJDM power chamber intake, 4-2-1 ebay header with 2 1/2" exhaust and no cat. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The head has about 2-2500 miles on it after rebuild, new plugs, wires. Tune up is recent in other words, what are you recomindations in checking those sensors. I assume cleaning them. Any other suggestions on that? I've dealt with mostly trucks so some of these issues with my honda are new to me in some cases.
