im curious as this matter, being that during the swap only the negative terminal was removed the negative terminal at one point slid and hit metal I had heard a pop however the fuses were fine it seems as though my grounds are fine as well but perhaps there is a fried ground or perhaps a fried power? or worst case scenario ecu is KIA or main relay?

Sounds like a bad ground and what you did was cause the relays to click in and out. When relays are to be on (ignition on) and grounds are bad, they won't 'click' or pull in. When the ground is good, they click in. Fix your grounds and it should start.
The starter ground is the large one in front of the tranny.
The thermostat ground is the main ground for most of your sensors (more important then people think). A bad thermostat ground can cause a car to not run, or run like ****. My EF civic had to have an extension ground added from the thermostat to the negative battery terminal just to start. Before I added it, the relays would pulse in and out when I tried to crank over.

Since the ECU is what controls the main relay which in turn powers your fuel pump, and you're getting fuel, what exactly do you mean by "no response from the main relay or ecu"?

Re: HALP! swap crisis - won't start
you cluster probably dims because your altenator was on its way out. but when you did swap did you get a new or different altenator? and as for your radio is it like your losing signal or is the deck shuting off and on?

same alt,but when i tested it before the alt was good, the deck shuts completely off but im thinking the issue with the deck is a bad ground but idk i may need to retrace the wires coming from the radio harness and see but im thinking your right about the alternator its possible it went to crap after the swap
