Default Half done!

A friend came over tonite and we decided to pull the stock engine outta the hatch..
Took us about 5-6 hours, with a 20 minute pizza break somewhere in there.
Anyways, here are a few pics, nothin special!

Just waiting on a shop to give me an axle, then i need a catback+header+wheels and i'm set for tech mods. Then I gotta move onto appearance..

Let me also add that if this took us an unusually long time its because it was the first time pulling an engine for both of us, and we were working with only hand tools. Thank god for mechanix gloves

5-6 hours... Damn!! Must be your fist one?

after a couple more time you should be able to do it in ~1 hour!!

BTW.. Buy some gunk, and clean your engine bay while the engine is out!!

Looks good though, Have fun!

Now comes the fun part. CLEANING THAT THANG

Take the time to do a thorough job the first time because this is the last time you will have such easy access.

I think 5 hours is good. Thats how long it took me and it was my first time with only hand tools. Anyways, looking good and clean that engine bay while the engine is out. Trust me, its worth it.

Damn dude 5-6 hours????????? Me and a friend pulled mine out of my hatch in 30 minutes. 2 people and a engine hoist. Using hand tools at that.
You guys working that slow must have been playing footsy's under the car or either you decided to share the job. You turn the wrench once then he turned the wrench. I could have put the swap back into your car in that length of time. And yes I have P/S, A/C, Cruise. everything that you had.

****, like i said, it was the first time for both of us, and we did run into some complications. The front lower passenger side engine mount was bent in an accident that the previous owner had gotten it in. We ended up having to use bolt cutters to shred the damn thing just to get to the bolt to remove it.

We are putting the B in today, gonna go pick up a Del Sol wiring harness and my axles and we should be set.. wish me luck!

Nobody said you didn't. Want Ginger Lynn to come over or something since you're so great?
