had a question about a tranny code

Default had a question about a tranny code

some guy is trying to sell me a jdm b16 hydro trans but it doesnt have a black stamp on the tranny to tell what it is (since they can easily be rubbed off), since i cant tell by a stamp is there any way i can tell if its a b16 trans? help me out thx

if its lsd it will be stamped on there. or just look through the diff you should be able to see through it. and if it doesnt have any ins or tags youa re just gonna have to take the guys word for it

the thing is its not stamped at all... like it was rubbed out and no it doesnt have lsd i already looked.. so other than that i just have to take a risk?

Hmm... it should actually be stamped into the casting. I would NOT buy it.
