Default H2B swap or b18c1 swap question

Since I do not have a swap yet my question is, Is it worth a H2B swap in a 97ek or just stick with a b18c1.............I Know it seems like a goofy question but I am ready to spend..lol I've had a 99gsr with a JRSC and had much fun years ago...I am just looking for a fun swap!

Please do rip into me for asking..lol

Yeah, it's worth it. Do you have the B series tranny already?

Wait for Ek_forever_guy. He loves them, and is currently trying to build one for his ek.

You think maybe a K swap would be a better solution If I'm going to spend like 6k? The hatch has usual SI seats, SI cluster, and Si paint...The front end Just got fixed So I have to paint hood and bumper....Stock D motor

The only swap I would do is a K20A. Tougher, more $, but big reward. Also weighs less than a H22 and you get 6 gears.

NARROW MINDED

K series is way to expensive. Remember, it's not jus the motor you have to pay for. There's a ton of misc. parts you need....there is a complete list that prices it out. I'll try to find it for you. It will cost you more than 6k after everything is said and done.

I really like the looks of your hatch. I'll try to get some more info for you.

Oh and by the way, as far as the weight issue with the H2B, don't worry. A common myth noobs love to try to justify other swaps over it. Honestly, the difference is miniscule.

Also, 6 gears is nice, but if you plan on drag racing, 5 gears is actually prefered. In any case, having an extra gear shouldn't make you pay thousands of dollars more for a swap.

And please, let's not turn this into a K series swap debate. I'm sick as hell of them

Looked clean man. I just hope you don't do that anymore. Slow down..and if you don't want to do that, than at least tell your friend to drive sober

I like that teg though. I've never driven a car with a JRSC. Only stock and then turbo.

i'd go with b18 and turbo it.. but then again h2b with a type r tranny would be sick... all depends what your goals are

I'd go K for sure. HT is filled with H2B supporters so thats all your gonna hear on here but no b series tranny will ever be as nice as a 6 speed type r tranny. but if that is out of the question id stick with the JRSC B18C.
I guarntee if you went to another forum like k20a.org or nwp4life they would all say go K.

I totally agree. Some peolpe get pissed when you mention a K swap around hear. If you got the loot, do it. If you want a B or H, do that. Is that narrow minded?

yes but for the money that h2b setup could b fully built and turbo'd for the price of that stock k. now is that extra gear worth it? i dont have a problem with k's besides the price to swap one in. its ridiculous.

you make it sound like the only reason to swap a k is for the 6 gears. k's are better motors overall. but the price is still too high at this point unless you get very good deals.

no i couldnt give 2 ***** less about a extra gear that just equals more shifting. they might b better motors. but you can make a h2 a better motor once again for the price of the stock k right now.

if they was to drop a **** ton off the price of a k i would prob swoop one up.
