Icon2 h23 vs b18

ok here is my issue i have a 95 eg coupe with a single cam in it right now. im tired of the single cam problems that im dealing with and wanna swap anyways. im looking at an h23 online that needs a rod and bearing set but the guy only wants 250 for the swap minus axles and harness and ecu which no biggy got a p28 and p75 just layin around. on the other hand i have a bare b18a1 block needs decked and internals and main caps have complete a1 head that i planned to port and polish. my other problem is money is tight right now and dont know what to do. can anyone help me make a decision????

Find your self an undamaged H23 engine and get a H2B swap. It will take longer to save up for, but will make major power....much more than the 1.8L

the problem is time right now also though my single cam has a major rod knock due to bad crank. the last time i did the bearings i made sure there was nothing wrong with the crank and yet still ate the bearing apart.

If money is tight, then just swap in another single cam and call it a day. Buying engines that need work, because they were likely abused, is a bad way to waste money. Get another D, and then save up $ until you can afford a swap.

The Y8 and Y7 crankshafts are the same, so yes.
