I've never done an H swap before, but I do know you'll need custom axles and engine mounts. You cannot run power steering unless you notch part of the frame (if i remember right) and don't even think about running A/C haha. It's quite a bit more cutting than swapping in something like a B series. However, I can imagine it would be worth it since you could drop into the 13's with just the swap.

Edit: even better- you could do an H2B setup and not have to worry about routing the shifter cables, and since you wont have to buy engine mounts you can just put that money towards the H2B kit.

research before any more senseless drivel comes from your keyboard

its the same swap as an H22a

that should be all you need

doing an h swap is the easiest swap ive ever done, first u need to get the custom mount kit,u will also need the halfshaft from a 1993 accord 5 speed and axles from a 1993 acura integra 5 speed, and for the passenger side axle u have to change the inner part that goes into the tranny to the accord one,u need to make sure u have enough clearance on the driver side for the crank pulley,u can hit it in with a hammer a little bit,cut a hole in the firewall near the bottom to run the linkage through and cut a hole where the shifter goes big enough to allow the shifter to move around and then drill holes so u can mount the shifter plate into position, now after all that is done bring the swap in from underneath the car(its easier that way),jack it up into place but dont bolt it in yet, mark where the mount hole is positioned on the passenger side mount to the bracket on the car,you have to drill a hole for the new mount on the passenger side and then you have to cut a little part of the bracket to allow you to shift in all gears, once the swap is mounted up install the axles, then u will need to extend some wires and change the injector wires to the prelude ones, make sure u use a internal coil distributor, and u have to plug up all the vacumm line ports that are not being used,u can use a p75 ecu for that swap or the stock ecu from the prelude or take a stock p06 and get it chipped for an h23,or u could spend the money to buy an h2b kit then its as easy as doing a b series swap, ive done 2 h22 swaps and they both came out great,so i know what im talking about

I've done many swaps before, and the H was always my favorite. Be prepared to spend about 3 days to do the wiring. Make sure you wire in the IAB's. They are there for a reason, and make a huge difference.

Would it not be a better idea to swap in an H22 than an H23, since its more or less the same hasstle?

less, its almost the same exact swap, just no wiring in Vtec

unless he does a head swap

get an h22 head, swap it on, and wire in vtec. its relatively easy that way you can do the head gasket and timing belt while its off as preventive maintainance
