Default h22a1 swap in my 95 civic coupe

so i already know there is a **** load of write ups on this swap but i want to know if instead of making my own wiring harness if i could just get a stock wiring harness from a 94-95 honda accord ex and make it work on the prelude motor since all the plugs are the same.... will it work?

I've never did the whole harness swapping thing before - but from what I read, yes, it'll work fine. Though you'll still have to wire up the ITB's (and VTEC if your civic didn't have it) from the strut tower to the ECU.

You can't plug a prelude engine harness into a civic body harness, you'll need to put your stock engine harness onto the H, add/extend wires as necessary.

i know i cant use a prelude harness which is why im asking if i can use the ACCORD harness... in the 94-95 ex accords all the body harness plugs are the same as mine so the wiring harness would plug right in.... and my h22a1 has an external coil can i just order an msd cap and coil and run it as if it didnt come wit the external coil from factory?

I'm sorry, didn't mean ITB's - you don't have ITB's - meant IAB's.

Fuckkkkkkk harness swapping, not worth it at all.

Just take your stock harness and change the ends on the dizzy and injectors, IF it's a different OBD...then you gotta wire up the resistor pack...which is pretty damn straight forward. If you have an EX you have the wiring for VTEC, if not, you have to wire it (all 2 wires), and the IAB's need to be wired in.

It's gonna be more of a headache harness swapping than it is just rewiring the existing harness you have on there.

I got told on here quite a few times to swap harnesses...I can't justify spending ~100 bux extra instead of 7.99 on a box of crimp connectors for like 3 plug-ends.

ok this is what you doo!
dump the resistor pack
get 97 and up prelude injectors.
they will work with obd1 and no resistor
the iabs are a bitch.
after getting it to work i ended up scrapping it after breaking 3 different sensor valves. cause i had nowhre to mount that ****
just ran a vacumm line straight.
no big difference you loose like maybe 7 torque under 4500

no.

it will thorw a code and retard your timing. making your car slow.

UNLESS YOU have a CHIPPED ecu, to turn off the egr
